Welcome to PhysicsQuest

PhysicsQuest is a gamified way to master introductory physics for competitive exams. Work through a series of islands, each containing several skills. Completing lessons within a skill earns experience points (XP) and increases the skill’s level. Once every skill on an island is complete, the next island unlocks.

Hearts, XP and Streak

You start each lesson with five hearts. A wrong answer costs a heart—lose them all and the lesson ends early. Hearts are restored whenever you begin a new lesson. Correct answers award XP, shown in the header and on your profile. Finishing a lesson without making any mistakes increases your daily streak count and helps you rise on the leaderboard.

Answering Questions

Questions come in different formats:

• Multiple choice: tap or click the option that best answers the prompt.
• Fill in the blank: type the missing value in the input box. Answers are not case sensitive.
• Matching: pair items on the left with the correct items on the right. Select one from each column to create a pair.
• Unit conversion: enter a number and choose the appropriate unit from the drop-down list.

For scientific notation you may use either the multiplication sign (×) or an asterisk (*). For example, 0.00789 can be written as 7.89 × 10^-3, 7.89*10^-3, or 7.89e-3.
